The Tuson Heavy Duty Truck Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS-HDT6W-BALL) instantly detects tire pressure and temperature and transmits that information to the receiver/monitor in the vehicle cab. The wireless tire pressure and temperature sensors can just be dropped inside your truck/trailer tires. The Heavy Duty Truck TPMS allows drivers to monitor the current status of all their truck and trailer tires, increasing towing safety by allowing the driver to monitor all tires while driving.

Internal Ball Sensor

The Tuson Heavy Duty Truck Ball Sensors are automotive-grade internal sensors designed to monitor tire pressure and temperature consistently and wirelessly transmit data to the receiver. Each sensor has a unique ID# to identify the sensor to the receiver.

These are internal sensors that are freely rotating inside the tire to prevent damage and/or theft. Internal sensors provide more accurate pressure and temperature readings than external sensors.

The sensors are motion-activated and will go into sleep mode when the wheels stop moving to preserve sensor battery life. Sensors may take a few minutes to wake-up. Once the wheel speed is over 12 mph/20 kph, the sensor will wake-up and continue transmitting messages to the receiver every minute while moving.

As a general reference, the sensor battery life is about 5 years when driven 4 hours per day. Sold individually.

Receiving Box - Extension Antenna

The Receiving Box Extension Antenna is mounted on the back of the truck in the middle area of the rear bumper.  The cable is routed from the rear bumper to the Receiver/Monitor where it plugs into the monitors harness.  The extension antenna receives the RF signals from the sensors and passes them to the monitor.  The extension antenna receives its power from the cable connected to the monitor’s harness.

Receiver - Monitor

The receiver (monitor) is a 5-inch TFT/LCD touch screen and allows the driver to monitor all tire pressures and temperatures. The system can be configured to monitor from 2 to 22 tires.  The monitor is powered by the truck and does have an internal rechargeable battery that (when fully charged) allows the monitor to be taken back by the wheels to diagnose and pair the individual sensors.  The monitor is also used to set the truck/trailer configurations and parameter settings for pressure and temperature.

Visual and Audible Alarms

Easy Installation & Pairing

Each Tuson Heavy Duty Truck TPMS kit comes with designated wheel orientation marks on the surface of each sensor. When each sensor is installed according to the corresponding wheels, no initial pairing is required. Our design makes installation and pairing easy.

No need to remove the TPMS sensor from each tire during a tire rotation. The TPMS receiver allows you to easily change the locations of the sensors according to the tire rotation arrangement.
